We, the Uzbek nation, have such beautiful places, rich history and culture, fine literature and art, but have no single residency for foreign poets, writers and artists! We have not any international poetry or writers’ festival either! My volunteers, family and I are the only team and voice to push the government, especially through our #UzLAB independent initiative, but sadly, no one is able to make a step without a presidential approval. But the president has never read my officially sent appeals to him to at least start with an International House of Creativity in the capital city Tashkent. And we say we are building a free and democratic society here in my homeland? I love my country! But I am tired of empty struggle with the corrupt and ignorant.
