Invited by our friend Rajeevan TP, a group of foreigh writers and poets went to Kerala, South India. I met Raj in 2004 in Iowa, so we were good friends already. I met Rati and Ranu for thr first time in Kerala. Ranu particiapted in our residency program in 2018 and we visited Namangan, Samarkand and Khorezm together.
There was one more poet with us on that day – Usha Akella. She now lives in the U.S. with her family. I met her once again in Medellin. Colombia in 2009.
