He and Me

by Gulchehra Nurullaeva

He seeks submission, a person to obey,
Yet I crave courage in every day.

Gold, luxury, fame fill his grand scheme,
Yet I’m surprised, for those luxuries I deem

Good roads he seeks for his smooth drive,
While I wish for common folks to thrive.

Blocking freedom aligns with his might,
But liberty, for me, is the guiding light.

He and I, a stark contrast in sight,
We’re like day and night, in perpetual fight.
