SOUL
Why, my heart, bind with such fetters—
Made friends with chains, your plight betters?
No lament or cry, barely a sigh,
Slow senses, time passing by.
Abuse, can it scar the soul’s grace,
Will base acts forever leave no trace?
When will shackles break asunder,
Swords may shatter, yet who will ponder?
Alive, not passed beyond life’s sway,
A human, act in humane play,
Reject the chains, refuse the ploy,
Born free, your essence, don’t deny!
