Dear distinguished Delphians, IDC executives, dear friends, artists and art lovers,
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude, specifically to the IDC President, Secretary General, my friend Dr. Chris Mooney and members of the Delphic community for warmly welcoming Uzbekistan into this inspiring international family. Your support means a great deal to us at this important beginning.
It is a great honor and heartfelt joy for me to speak today at the Delphics Uzbekistan Literature and Music Festival.
For Uzbekistan, this is not just participation: this is a meaningful debut. A new cultural step onto the global stage of the Delphic movement, where art becomes a bridge between nations and a language of mutual understanding.
Uzbekistan has long been a land of great poets, musicians, and thinkers. From the legacy of the Silk Road to our vibrant contemporary culture, we have always believed in the power of art to unite people, to inspire dialogue, and to carry wisdom across generations.
Today, as we begin our journey within the Delphic community, we are not only proud – we are committed.
We are committed to building the Delphic spirit in Uzbekistan.
We are committed to supporting young talents, writers, musicians, and artists.
And we are committed to creating new platforms where culture becomes a force for connection and peace.
At the same time, this is not a journey we can take alone.
We sincerely hope that Uzbek cultural institutions, creative organizations, artists, intellectuals, and all stakeholders will join this initiative – to support it, to shape it, and to make it truly meaningful for our society and for future generations.
Because the strength of culture lies in unity.
In this spirit, I would like to recall the words of our great poet, Alisher Navoiy, the father of Uzbek literature:
“Know, all humankind, the greatest curse is enmity;
Be friends with each other – the greatest blessing is amity.”
These timeless words resonate deeply with the mission we share today.
Let us choose friendship over division.
Let us choose culture over conflict.
Let us choose creation over destruction.
I look forward to contributing to the Delphic movement and to building strong, lasting cultural bridges between Uzbekistan and the world.
Thank you.
