The Final Voyage
By Bahodir Otash
Venturing forth on paths anew,
Not distant, my journey’s cue.
Where sunlight hides, no haven found,
Nor lightning’s strike, with deafening sound.
Heart aloft, in the sky’s embrace,
Aspirations soar, in boundless space.
As weightless as air, they freely roam,
A sail of dreams, in cloud’s fine loam.
Should I encounter a soul alive,
Conversations and joy shall thrive.
Amidst the living souls that sleep,
Awaiting my turn, vigil I’ll keep.
Life’s not cruel but a test,
Each step laden with a quest.
Beside, a friend may fail to see,
Lost in thoughts, distant, free.
Embarking on a journey near,
It’s not far, my destiny clear.
If meeting a soul alive,
I’d return, swift as lightning’s dive.
###
The grasshopper chirps,
The evening’s name is democrat,
The crowd turns a blind eye.
***
An atmosphere of indifference,
A boat floats without a paddle,
How clear the sky is!
***
What a clear sky,
Thunder rumbles.
Heart fluttered!
